Macaw are one of the most popular birds in the parrot species. They are extremely intelligent birds and often travel in groups. They are social birds and are very expensive to buy as pets which also not an ethical act to confine them within a small space. Hence they are sculpted into a statue with extreme patience and hard work to capture their skin texture and detail as much as possible.

Material – PLA

The material we use is PLA. (Polylactic Acid). It is a plant based product made from corn starch and is highly durable and environment friendly. Though it might resemble a plastic look from far it is biodegradable but long lasting and strong. Post processing such as priming, sanding , painting and other processed are done over this material to give the final finish of the product. This is the material used in 3d printing process.
